Guided visit and txakoli tasting
To discover the secrets of our wine—txakolina—come to our home. Come to Gaintza.
You'll learn the secrets of this traditional, authentic and original wine. Our location in Getaria (D.O. Getariako Txakolina) means many of our vines are next to the Cantabrian Sea. This is no easy place for cultivating grapes, but the result is a range of fresh wines. We’ll explain the winemaking and bottling processes, and after a tasting of our txakolis accompanied by local produce such as anchovies and bonito del norte (Albacore) we promise you’ll fall in love with this wine.

Txotx! Tasting of the new vintage
Some traditions never die, and TXOTX! —drinking txakoli in the time-honoured way—is one of them.
Most cellars with the Getariako Txakolina protected designation of origin are small family enterprises which, in days gone by, invited their neighbours in to try the txakoli from the new vintage. They sampled it straight from the barrels together with a good meal.
